Magdalena Wrona — psychologist and Sandplay therapist

Welcome…

this is a safe space where your healing begins

I am Magdalena Wrona, a psychologist, Sandplay therapist, psycho-oncologist and suicidologist based in Stroud (UK).

For over 10 years, I have dedicated my career to working with children, guiding them through the challenges of trauma and supporting their mental health. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and a deep understanding of the complexities of trauma.

My story

My journey into psychology and therapeutic work has been shaped by a deep curiosity about the complexities of human behaviour and a commitment to supporting those facing emotional and psychological challenges. Educated in the fields of Psychology, Psycho-oncology and Suicidology, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour and psychological disorders.

Over the years, I have developed a passion for working with both children and adults, particularly in the area of trauma recovery. My interest in the transformative power of therapy led me to explore Jungian Sandplay therapy, which uniquely addresses the psychological impact of childhood trauma. I am fascinated by how storytelling, active imagination and symbolism within Sandplay create a safe space to process difficult experiences.

Psycho-oncology

Psycho-oncology holds a special place in my heart due to personal experiences within my own family. Watching a loved one battle cancer gave me a firsthand understanding of just how challenging and emotionally draining the journey can be — not only for the person who is ill but also for the entire family. This personal connection drives my commitment to helping others in similar situations.

How I work

I believe that therapy is not just about managing symptoms, but about empowering individuals to find strength and meaning in their lives. My approach emphasises collaboration, empathy and creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions without judgment.

Education and professional growth

I earned my Master's Degree in Psychology. My ongoing commitment to learning is reflected in my specialised training:

  • Sandplay Therapist — Association of Sandplay Therapy
  • Postgraduate Degree in Suicidology — Polish Suicidology Society
  • Postgraduate Degree in Psycho-oncology — National Louis University
  • Postgraduate Teacher Training Programme — National Louis University

Through additional certifications in Art Therapy, Autism Awareness and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, I have developed a versatile skill set that helps me tailor my approach to the unique needs of each client.

“I believe healing starts with feeling truly understood.”
